It also has most of the local shops needed: a butchers, bakers, grocers and wine shop.

Tesco superstores are also happy to deliver to the site.

Our car park is on site next to the wash block, so your car won’t be too far away from your accommodation. We supply large wheelbarrows to then help you to get your things to your accommodation and kitchen area.

For individual bookings we operate a peaceful site policy and trust that all guests want to truly experience being in nature when they come to stay.  Please respect our peaceful site policy (no speakers or amplified music/movies at any time; quiet time from 10pm – 8am). Quiet chat round a campfire or in your own tent after this time is acceptable but please be aware any noise travels further at night and is audible through canvas!

For exclusive use bookings. We understand that you may have chosen us as you wish to party! Music and speakers are allowed but we ask that it is turned off at midnight, and the party then reverts to a more chilled affair around the campfire.

We accept dogs in certain accommodations and ask that they be kept on a lead and under control while around your accommodation and all dog mess is cleared up.

For families we use Stag and Duck yurt

For couples we use Robins Roost (our Canadian bus)

On your arrival day, you are welcome anytime from 3pm. Our dedicated team work really hard preparing all the accommodation and grounds on changeover days. If we do manage to get everything prepared earlier than 3pm we will message to let you know.

On your leaving day, I’m afraid we will have to wave you off by 10am (late check outs are available on a Sunday at a small extra cost).

Yes you can, but please bring all safety equipment needed too. We will ask you to sign our disclaimer for insurance purposes.

If you do not have your own equipment we can put you in touch with local instructors who you can book sessions with.

We cannot allow any children to swim in the lake due to our insurance restrictions.

For adults the lake is not ideal for swimming due to the bottom being made of clay.  The depth of the lake at the deepest part is around 5ft. There are also plants and weeds throughout the lake. If you are confident with wild swimming then this would not prove an issue but may be difficult for those not accustomed to wild swimming. We would ask that a disclaimer is signed if you do choose to swim in our lake.

Generally, those staying with us wish to have a peaceful relaxing stay without numerous guests on-site. However, we understand that sometimes people choose us whilst visiting families and friends in the local area. Should this be the case we are happy to have a small number of extra day guests on site with prior approval as we need to know who is on-site for insurance purposes.

You hire all the accommodation and then have exclusive use of the full site including the lake. Currently this sleeps up to 28 guests. Should there be and additional guests then we are happy for them to camp/caravan in the paddock.

Activities can be organised directly through our list of suppliers and recommendations can be given.

We are happy to accept family/friends celebrations, single sex groups, corporate bookings as well as hen and stag parties.

We are also happy for the site to be used for weddings. However, please note that you are only hiring the site as we do not offer a bespoke wedding service. We do not have a licence, but a celebrant can be brought in, and you can tailor your ideal wedding to suit your own needs if this is what you are looking for. There is an additional cost as even though we offer a DIY wedding site we still wish to ensure that the correct amount of time is needed with you to plan and prepare your special day. Please do get in touch to discuss directly with us if you would like to use our site for your wedding.
